Closed Trades As Of July 13 and Stop Loss Feature

My overall gains took a big hit last week thanks to the shaky markets (I am feeling no love for Greece or China right now). As you can see, my biggest hit was BLCM. Ouch!

Overall, I am still up $651.63. But I am determined to not take big hits like I did with BLCM and OVAS and IMMU before that. So I wanted to bring attention to a feature in the Edit Trade Settings screen. In the Orders Section, you can determine what loss percentage is the most you are willing to take before getting out:

Enter the percentage amount, click the box and click Save and all Opening Orders will also be accompanied with a Stop Loss order by the percentage you entered. 

Keep in mind, this will only affect Opening Orders entered after you create this setting. If you want previously entered trades to also have this percentage Stop Loss entered, you must go to your Broker Positions tab, click the right column next to the position you want to add a Stop Loss to and select Add Stop Loss. (You can also do this for all your positions entered through the system by selecting the second link in the drop down)

Finally, if you wanted to add different stop amounts for different positions or enter Trailing Stops, you can do so through the TradeKing website.
